Also Batista (or bautista, his real name(Batista is is wrestling name)) is pretty famous. He played dead in 3 pretty big marvel films, was a bond villain and was a big name in wrestling, to name but a few things.

Tnb

People call it the Boleyn ground or Upton park all the way through. Batista isn't into football and that is made clear at the beginning.

It sort of fits the film.

Re: Final Score - The movie (spoilers)
I’m amazed at the amount of people who expected it to be up there with the likes of The Shawshank Redemption!

It’s an average film which contains nostalgic footage of our old stadium. Try not to look deeper than that.

Re: Final Score - The movie (spoilers)
I've only watched the trailer and was unreasonably annoyed by the fact that Bautista is on the phone to the police/ army/ whoever at one point and declares that there is an emergency at 'West Ham Stadium'. I get that the American audience may not understand a reference to the Boleyn or Upton Park but it still got my hackles up, especially in a film that is supposed to be paying homage to the stadium as per Bautista's cringeworthy pitchside interview last weekend - I confess that I'd never heard of the bloke before and assumed it must be some straight to DVD fiasco akin to 'Rise of the Krays' before I looked it up afterwards. I then vaguely remembered some reference to a major film blowing up the ground but it seems to have taken a long time to come out, which is rarely a good sign.

Pierce Brosnan must have some serious bills to pay to be involved with this nonsense.

Rumour has it that director wanted to hire Dele Alli because of his ability to fall over like he's been shot?

"Suprising good"?????
Following West Ham has been a bit of a circus for the last 45 years odd,but to make a few quid out of the loved sacred turf is taking the piss and unforgivable.as far as I'm concerned.
I fucking loved going to West Ham.Met up with loads of friends in the supporters club before and after games .
Obviously winning made the day miles betterer, but was always a good day out. I don't want to go to the new gaff anymore .
